Between July 28 and 31, 2020, ANACEC conducted 4 webinars that were attended by 83 representatives of local specialized bodies in the field of education and 242 managerial staff of the institutions for which the external evaluation is planned in the school year 2020 - 2021.

The purpose of the 4 activities hosted online is to inform and train representatives of local specialized bodies in the field of education and school managers on the evaluation / self-evaluation procedure of general education institutions and managerial staff in accordance with the methodologies approved by MECR.

The online activities carried out aimed at informing the interested parties about the Methodology for the evaluation of general education institutions and the Methodology for the evaluation of the managerial staff in general education.

The Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) is a non-governmental and non-profit association, with 34 members from 21 countries, dedicated to the development of quality assurance and quality improvement in higher education in Central and Eastern Europe. It was founded on October 13, 2001 in Krakow, Poland, and was legally registered in Düsseldorf, Germany on July 4, 2011.

Recently, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC) has become a full member of the Standing International Conference of Inspectorates (SICI). This has also been made possible by the opening and financial support of the World Bank. The aim of this action is to strengthen the overall education dimension in terms of evaluating and externally assuring the quality of studies in line with the trends in the field at European level.

On March 26, in Chisinau took place both the official launch of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research and "Crystal of Quality" Awards given to educational institutions and people who contributed to the promotion of quality culture in Moldovan education. The event marked the transfer from the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education (ANACIP) to the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC) through the absorption of the National School Inspectorate and the National Council for Accreditation and Attestation.

In accordance with Government Decision no. 201 from 28.02.2018 on the organization and functioning of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, it was decided to change the name of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education (ANACIP) in the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC ) and its reorganization through the absorption of the National School Inspectorate and the National Council for Accreditation and Attestation.The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research is the successor of rights and obligations of the absorbed legal entities.
