On May 20th 2016, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education (ANACIP) signed a cooperation agreement with the Agency for Quality Assurance by Accrediting Study Programmes (AQAS) in the field of quality assessment and accreditation in higher education. The agreement was signed by ANACIP president, Andrei Chiciuc, and by AQAS agency director, Doris Herrmann.

The cooperation agreement aims to establish and develop an intense collaboration between the two agencies, which can be done through the exchange of experience and information in the field of quality assurance, best practice transfer of AQAS and promoting the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education in quality assurance structures of the European Union. The agreement also involves the participation in joint projects and events, involving the AQAS experts in external evaluations organized by ANACIP and any external activities that are consistent with the status of the two agencies and aim to ensure quality in education.

The agreement was signed at the final conference of the Tempus project “Development of quality assurance in higher education in Moldova (QUAEM)”, which was held on May 19th and 20th this year. International consortium members discussed the results achieved during the four years of project implementation and their impact in the education system in Moldova.
